## remove_child {#aspose.html.dom.Node}

Removes a child node from the DOM and returns the removed node.

### Returns

Unlike [`Node.clone_node`](/html/python-net/aspose.html.dom/node/clone_node) the return value preserves the [`IEventListener`](/html/python-net/aspose.html.dom.events/ieventlistener) objects associated with it.

```python
def remove_child(self, child):
    ...
```

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| :- | :- | :- |
| child | aspose.html.dom.Node | A [`Node`](/html/python-net/aspose.html.dom/node) that is the child node to be removed from the DOM. |
