## StringComparer::Compare method


Compares two strings using current settings.

virtual int System::StringComparer::Compare(args_type x, args_type y) const override
```

| --- | --- | --- |
| x | args_type | LHS string value. |
| y | args_type | RHS string value. |

### ReturnValue

Negative value if **x** preceeds **y**, zero if they are equal and positive value otherwise.
