## XmlTextReader::get_Encoding method


Returns the encoding of the document.

```cpp
SharedPtr<System::Text::Encoding> System::Xml::XmlTextReader::get_Encoding()
```


### ReturnValue

The encoding value. If no encoding attribute exists, and there is no byte-order mark, this defaults to UTF-8.
