## setTextInputValue(newValue) {#object}

Applies the text format specified in [FormField.textInputFormat](../textInputFormat/) and stores the value in [FormField.result](../result/).

setTextInputValue(newValue: object)
```

### Remarks

The [FormField.textInputDefault](../textInputDefault/) value is applied if *newValue* is``null``.
