## ArchiveFactory class

Detects the archive format and creates the appropriate [IArchive](/zip/python-net/aspose.zip/iarchive/) object according to the type of archive.

The ArchiveFactory type exposes the following members:

|get_archive(path)|Detects the archive format and creates the appropriate [IArchive](/zip/python-net/aspose.zip/iarchive/) object according to the type of archive specified by the given path.|
|get_archive(stream)|Detects the archive format and creates the appropriate [IArchive](/zip/python-net/aspose.zip/iarchive/) object according to the type of archive specified by the given stream.|
|get_archive(stream, password)|Detects the archive format and creates the appropriate [IArchive](/zip/python-net/aspose.zip/iarchive/) object according to the type of encrypted archive specified by the given stream.|
|compress_directory(path, output_file_name, archive_format)|Compresses the specified directory into an archive file using the provided archive format.|
